This lesson is designed primarily for Grades 1–2 ESL learners, but it can also work well with Grade 3 students who are beginners or need additional vocabulary and speaking practice.

Target Language
Students practice asking and answering questions about the weather:
“How’s the weather in ___?”

Example:
“How’s the weather in winter?”

Students also practice connecting seasons with their typical weather:
“Which season is ___?”
→ “Winter is cold.”
